About
Twenty years in, still curious
106 Film is an independent production company founded by people who spent years in film, production and broadcast journalism. We work out of Kavacık in Istanbul and shoot across Turkey and abroad.
Where we started and where we are
Our founding team came up through television and news. Those years in the field taught us one thing: the way to tell a story properly is to spend enough time with the person living it. We started 106 Film to carry that habit into commercial work.
The early years were mostly commercials and corporate films. Then we began developing our own television formats. The health show we created was the first of its kind in Turkey and ran for a long time on a national channel. A second and a third format followed.
The DVDs we produced with well known names in sport and personal development went straight to the top of the bestseller lists. We have made programme series about the stories of long established Turkish brands and what they contribute to the economy.
Health Brand Management, our subsidiary, handles social media and brand work for the healthcare sector. More recently, at our clients' request, we brought event and organisation management into the team as well.

How we work
These are not words for a wall. They are the rules we follow when we take a job and when we hand it over.
We talk about money early
Every line is itemised in the quote. If something new comes up, we do not spend a lira before you approve it.
We say no to work we cannot do
If our calendar is full or the job sits outside what we do well, we say so plainly and point you to a team we trust.
Nobody shouts on our sets
A well prepared shoot does not need panic. Crew and guests leave tired and in a good mood.
How a crew comes together
Our core team is small: a producer, a director, an editor and a project lead. For everything a job needs beyond that, we work with people we have known for years.
This does two things. The person you meet at the start is the person who hands the work over at the end. And you are not paying for a permanent crew you do not need.
On the event side, the stage manager, technical director, welcome team and floor coordinator are put together for each occasion. We visit the venue with the whole crew before the day.

About us
How big is the team?
The core crew is small. We scale up with a director, a cinematographer, an editor, a stage manager and technical staff as the job requires. A large launch can have more than thirty people on site.
Do you only work in Istanbul?
Our office is in Kavacık, but a good share of our shoots happen elsewhere. We have completed projects in Izmir, Ankara and across Anatolia, and we shoot abroad.
We already have an agency. How would that work?
We can take the production side of a concept your agency has developed. In that case we coordinate directly with them so you are not briefed twice.
